Riseworks is TradeDay's third-party payout processor that handles all funded trader withdrawals—you cannot receive payouts without completing Riseworks onboarding. Setup takes 15-30 minutes and involves clicking the email invitation from TradeDay, completing KYC verification (government ID upload), providing banking or crypto wallet details, and signing the contractor agreement. Once approved (typically 24-48 hours), you can request withdrawals through TradeDay dashboard and collect funds via Riseworks platform.

The onboarding email arrives automatically after you pass evaluation and activate funding. Subject line: "You're invited to join TradeDay on Rise." Critical: You MUST click the purple "Accept Invite" button in the email and use the exact email address TradeDay has on file. Attempting to create a Riseworks account directly on riseworks.io before receiving invitation causes errors and delays. Wait for the official TradeDay invitation email, then follow the link provided.

Common setup mistakes that delay payout access: using different email than TradeDay account, uploading expired ID documents, providing banking info that doesn't match your legal name, or skipping the final "complete onboarding" step after KYC approval. TradeDay requires exact name match across all systems—if your TradeDay account says "Robert Smith" but you upload ID for "Bob Smith," Riseworks rejects it. Use full legal name exactly as it appears on government ID.

Quick heads-up: This article is based on my real experience with TradeDay and the info available when I published/updated this. Things change in prop trading — rules, payouts, promos, all of it.

For the absolute latest, check TradeDay´s website or their faq page.

Step 1: Wait for Riseworks Invitation Email

You receive Riseworks invitation automatically when you complete TradeDay's funded account activation process. This happens AFTER:

  1. Passing evaluation objectives
  2. Paying $139 activation fee (or having it waived by promo code)
  3. Completing Rules & Regulations course in TradeDay dashboard

Timeline:

Day 1: Pass evaluation, submit for funding
Day 2: TradeDay approves, sends "Congratulations" email
Day 2-3: Complete activation steps (pay fee, take course)
Day 3-4: Riseworks invitation email arrives from "Rise" (noreply@riseworks.io)

What the Email Looks Like:

Subject: "You're invited to join TradeDay on Rise"
From: Rise (noreply@riseworks.io)
Content: Purple button labeled "Accept Invite"
Body text: "TradeDay has invited you to join their team on Rise..."

CRITICAL: Do NOT:

  • Ignore the email thinking it's spam
  • Try to create Riseworks account before receiving invitation
  • Click any Riseworks links NOT from official TradeDay invitation
  • Use a different email address than the one invitation was sent to

If You Don't Receive Email:

Wait 48 hours first—sometimes emails delay. After 48 hours, check spam/junk folders. If still missing after 72 hours, email support@tradeday.com: "Funded trader [Your Account #], have not received Riseworks invitation. Please resend."

Step 2: Click Accept Invite and Begin KYC

Once invitation arrives, click the purple "Accept Invite" button. This takes you to Riseworks onboarding portal auto-populated with your email address.

KYC Requirements:

Riseworks uses Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to comply with financial regulations. You'll provide:

Personal Information:

  • Full legal name (EXACTLY as on government ID)
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Phone number
  • Social Security Number (US residents) or Tax ID

Government ID Upload:

Must upload ONE of the following:

  • Driver's license (front and back)
  • Passport (photo page)
  • State-issued ID card
  • National ID card (international traders)

ID must be:

  • Valid (not expired)
  • Clear/legible (all corners visible, no glare)
  • Color photo
  • Full document visible in frame

Common ID Upload Failures:

Blurry photos—use good lighting, steady hands
Partial document—show entire ID including edges
Glare on plastic—avoid flash, use natural light
Expired ID—renew before attempting onboarding
Wrong document—must be government-issued photo ID

Address Verification:

Some users must upload proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, lease agreement) dated within last 90 days. This typically only applies to international traders or flagged accounts.

Processing Time:

KYC approval usually takes 24-48 hours. Riseworks reviews manually. You'll receive email when approved: "Your verification is complete."

During high-volume periods (post-TradeDay promotions), KYC can take 3-5 business days. Be patient.

Step 3: Add Payment Method

After KYC approval, you must add withdrawal method—either bank account or cryptocurrency wallet.

Bank Account Setup (Most Common):

Navigate to "Payment Methods" in Riseworks dashboard → "Add Bank Account"

Required info:

  • Bank name
  • Account holder name (must match your verified identity)
  • Account number
  • Routing number (US banks)
  • SWIFT/IBAN (international banks)
  • Account type (checking or savings)

US Bank Wire (Recommended for US Traders):

  • Free withdrawals
  • 3-5 business day arrival
  • Most reliable option
  • Supports all major US banks

International Bank Wire:

  • $15 fee per withdrawal
  • 5-10 business day arrival
  • Requires SWIFT code
  • Some banks charge receiving fees (not controlled by TradeDay/Riseworks)

Cryptocurrency Wallet Setup:

Navigate to "Payment Methods" → "Add Crypto Wallet"

Supported options:

  • Layer 2 (L2) withdrawals: FREE, fastest (Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon networks)
  • Layer 1 (L1) withdrawals: $2.50 + gas fees (Ethereum mainnet, Bitcoin)

Enter wallet address carefully—one wrong character means lost funds. Double-check by sending test transaction first (some wallets allow address validation).

Which to Choose:

US traders: Bank wire (free, reliable)
International traders: L2 crypto if comfortable with crypto, bank wire otherwise
Fast withdrawals needed: L2 crypto (arrives within hours vs days)

You can add multiple payment methods and switch between them per withdrawal.

Step 4: Sign Contractor Agreement

Riseworks requires you sign contractor agreement acknowledging you're receiving payments as independent contractor, not employee.

Key Agreement Points:

  • You're independent contractor of TradeDay
  • Responsible for own tax reporting (1099 issued for US traders)
  • Agree to Riseworks terms of service
  • Acknowledge payout processing fees

Agreement appears in dashboard after KYC approval. Click "Review & Sign" → Read terms → Enter full name → Submit.

Some traders skip this step and wonder why withdrawals don't process—agreement signature is mandatory.

Step 5: Complete Final Onboarding

After KYC approval, payment method added, and agreement signed, you must FINALIZE onboarding by logging back into Riseworks and clicking "Complete Onboarding."

This step is easy to miss. Riseworks sends email: "Complete your onboarding" with link. Click link, log in, confirm all info correct, click "Finalize."

Many traders complete KYC and payment setup but never finalize, then get stuck wondering why payout requests don't work.

Verification Checklist:

Before finalizing, verify:

  • ✓ KYC approved (green checkmark next to "Identity Verification")
  • ✓ Payment method added (bank or crypto wallet showing in Payment Methods section)
  • ✓ Contractor agreement signed (Status: "Completed")
  • ✓ Email address matches TradeDay account exactly
  • ✓ Name matches across all documents

Once all items checked, click "Complete Onboarding" and you're ready to receive payouts.

Common Riseworks Setup Problems

Problem: "Email Not Matching"

Riseworks requires exact email match. If TradeDay account is john.smith@gmail.com but you try onboarding with johnsmith@gmail.com, it fails.

Solution: Use EXACT email from TradeDay account. Check TradeDay dashboard → Profile to verify correct email.

Problem: "Name Mismatch Rejection"

Your TradeDay account says "Mike Johnson" but government ID says "Michael Johnson"—Riseworks rejects.

Solution: Update TradeDay account to match legal name OR use government-issued nickname documentation if available. Email support@tradeday.com to update account name before Riseworks onboarding.

Problem: "KYC Stuck in Review for 7+ Days"

Sometimes KYC hangs due to document issues, high volume, or system errors.

Solution: Contact Riseworks support via chat at riseworks.io (bottom-right chat button). Provide case number, explain delay. They can expedite review or flag issues.

Problem: "Can't Add Bank Account - Invalid Routing Number"

US routing numbers must be 9 digits. Some banks have multiple routing numbers for different purposes.

Solution: Check bank's website for "ACH routing number" or "wire transfer routing number"—use the wire transfer routing number for Riseworks. Call bank if unsure.

Problem: "Crypto Wallet Address Won't Validate"

Riseworks may not recognize certain wallet address formats or newer address types.

Solution: Use standard legacy address format if available. For example, Bitcoin: Use legacy P2PKH address (starts with "1") rather than SegWit (starts with "3" or "bc1") if validation fails.

Problem: "Forgot to Finalize Onboarding"

KYC approved, payment added, agreement signed—but withdrawals still don't work.

Solution: Check Riseworks email for "Complete onboarding" message. Log back in, click finalize. This step is required even though it seems redundant.

Withdrawing Funds via Riseworks

Once setup complete and TradeDay processes your withdrawal request, funds appear in Riseworks ready to withdraw.

Withdrawal Process:

Day 1: Request withdrawal via TradeDay dashboard
Day 2: TradeDay processes, moves funds to Riseworks
Day 2 (afternoon): Email from Riseworks: "Funds available"
Day 2: Log into riseworks.io → Payments tab → Click "Withdraw"
Day 2: Select payment method (bank or crypto) → Enter amount → Confirm
Day 3-7: Funds arrive (timeline depends on method chosen)

Riseworks Dashboard Tour:

  • Payments Tab: Shows all incoming payments from TradeDay, status, amounts
  • Withdraw Button: Initiates transfer to your bank/wallet
  • Payment Methods: Manage bank accounts and crypto wallets
  • Transaction History: Complete record of all payouts received

Riseworks doesn't store funds long-term—it's passthrough system. When TradeDay releases funds, withdraw them promptly to your bank/wallet.

International Trader Considerations

Non-US traders can use Riseworks but may face additional requirements:

Tax Documentation:

International traders may need to provide:

  • W-8BEN form (certifying non-US tax status)
  • Country-specific tax ID number
  • Proof of foreign address

Bank Wire Complications:

International wires have more failure points:

  • Correspondent bank fees (intermediary banks charge $10-50)
  • Currency conversion fees
  • Incorrect SWIFT codes
  • Bank rejecting sender

Solution: Many international traders prefer L2 crypto withdrawals—avoid bank complications, receive funds in hours not weeks, zero fees.

Crypto Recommendation for International:

If your country has good crypto infrastructure (exchanges, P2P platforms, Bitcoin ATMs), L2 crypto withdrawal is superior option:

TradeDay → Riseworks → Your wallet (1 hour)
Wallet → Local crypto exchange (instant)
Exchange → Your bank account (1-2 days)

Total time: 2-3 days vs 7-14 days for international wire, and zero fees vs $15-75 in wire fees.
