The 5%ers runs three platforms across its programs β MT5 Hedge for the four CFD programs, cTrader as US trader entry since September 2025, and Black Arrow as the dedicated Futures platform (beta since Feb 2026). The 5%ers runs three trading platforms across six funding programs and five asset classes. A structure no major competitor matches. As of May 2026, MT5 Hedge powers the four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp), cTrader was added September 1, 2025 as a supplement and as the route US traders use to access the firm, and Black Arrow is the proprietary platform that runs the Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate programs in beta since February 2026.
This article is the structural lens on The 5%ers. Most competitor reviews list "MT5" in a bullet under platforms and move on. The reality at The 5%ers is materially more interesting: which program you buy determines which platforms you can use, which assets you can trade, and whether you are allowed in at all if you live in the US. The 3-platform Γ 6-program Γ 5-asset matrix is the differentiator. And the article that follows builds it out section by section.

Platform overview: MT5 Hedge, cTrader, and Black Arrow
As of May 2026, The 5%ers operates three distinct platforms, each tied to a specific group of programs and a specific trader population.
| Platform | Type | Powers | Status | US traders |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MT5 Hedge | Forex/CFD | Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp | Live since founding | No |
| cTrader | Forex/CFD | Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp (CFD programs) | Added September 1, 2025 | Yes |
| Black Arrow | Futures | Futures Basecamp, Futures Rebate | Beta since February 2026 | Yes |
MT5 Hedge is MetaQuotes' MetaTrader 5 in its hedging configuration. Traders can hold simultaneous long and short positions on the same instrument without auto-netting. The 5%ers has used MT5 Hedge as the primary CFD platform since the firm's 2016 launch and continues to do so for all four CFD program types in 2026. The Hedge mode choice matters for mean-reversion strategies, hedged event trades, and any approach that holds opposing positions on a single symbol.
cTrader is Spotware's competing platform in the forex/CFD category. The 5%ers added cTrader on September 1, 2025 in a press release framed by CEO Saul Lokier as choosing cTrader as the "premier platform for advanced traders." Two operationally important consequences followed. First, cTrader became an alternative to MT5 Hedge for any trader on a CFD program who preferred its interface. Second, and more strategically, the cTrader addition unlocked US trader access from September 18, 2025 forward. MetaQuotes does not allow US-based or US-serving prop firms to onboard US residents on MT5; cTrader has no equivalent restriction. The 5%ers is now one of the few legacy CFD prop firms with a clean US route.
Black Arrow is The 5%ers' proprietary futures platform. It launched in beta in February 2026 alongside the firm's first dedicated Futures program (Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate). Black Arrow is structurally distinct from Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8, and Rithmic. The platforms most US futures prop traders expect from competitors like Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, and Tradeify. Black Arrow is exclusive to The 5%ers, runs only the Futures programs, and is the only Futures platform the firm currently supports. Additional platforms have been mentioned as planned but have not been announced as of May 2026.
The three platforms map cleanly to three different trader populations: legacy non-US CFD traders on MT5 Hedge, US CFD traders and cTrader-fluent traders on cTrader, and futures traders globally on Black Arrow. Choosing the right platform at The 5%ers is therefore mostly a function of which program you intend to buy.
Which programs run on which platform
As of May 2026, the program-to-platform assignment is fixed by program type, not by trader preference within a program.
| Program | Type | Platforms | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hyper Growth | 1-Step CFD | MT5 Hedge, cTrader | Free entry program; cTrader is the US route |
| Pro Growth | 1-Step CFD (paid) | MT5 Hedge, cTrader | Introduced in 2026; same platforms as Hyper Growth |
| High Stakes | 2-Step CFD | MT5 Hedge, cTrader | $19 Step 1 entry across all sizes |
| Bootcamp | 3-Step CFD | MT5 Hedge, cTrader | $22 Step 1 + $50 funded activation |
| Futures Basecamp | 2-Phase Futures | Black Arrow | $50 eval + $70 funded activation |
| Futures Rebate | 2-Phase Futures | Black Arrow | Same structure; commission rebate up to 100% daily |
The 5%ers has not published a per-program cTrader/MT5 toggle on its public pages. The September 2025 announcement said cTrader was added "across the CFD programs" without listing each program individually. The reasonable reading is that all four CFD programs support both MT5 Hedge and cTrader, with cTrader being the only option for US traders since MetaQuotes blocks US onboarding on MT5. The reasonable reading is also that Bootcamp's cTrader availability matches the other CFD programs even if it is not explicitly listed on the Bootcamp page. Verify in the trader hub at activation if the choice matters to your workflow.
What is firm: Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate run only on Black Arrow. There is no MT5 or cTrader path to The 5%ers Futures programs. There is also no Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8, or Rithmic path. If you want futures at The 5%ers, you trade on Black Arrow.
There is one further structural constraint. Pro Growth (the paid 1-step variant introduced in 2026) caps account count at one per size tier. One $5K, one $10K, one $20K. High Stakes caps one $2.5K, one $5K, one at $10K-or-$25K, and one at $50K-or-$100K. Bootcamp caps one $250K, one $100K, two $20K with different methods. None of these caps depend on platform. The platform sits underneath the program structure, not in front of it.
Asset classes by platform and program
The 5%ers' multi-asset positioning is the single biggest structural differentiator vs futures-only firms (Apex, Topstep, Tradeify) and CFD-only firms (FTMO, MyFundedFX). The asset class matrix runs across all three platforms in different combinations.
| Asset class | Hyper Growth | Pro Growth | High Stakes | Bootcamp | Futures (Black Arrow) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forex | Yes (MT5/cTrader) | Yes (MT5/cTrader) | Yes (MT5/cTrader) | Yes (MT5/cTrader) | FX futures only |
| Metals | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | GC, SI futures |
| Indices | Yes | Yes | Yes (incl. Oil) | Yes | ES, NQ, YM, RTY + micros |
| Crypto CFD | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Oil/Energy | - | - | Yes (Oil listed) | - | CL, NG futures |
| Commodities | - | Yes (1:1.5 lev) | - | - | Via metals + energy contracts |
| Stocks | - | - | - | - | - (TradeThePool sister entity) |
Three points warrant emphasis because they catch traders off guard.
Crypto availability is restricted to three CFD programs. Hyper Growth's official asset list is verbatim "Assets available: FX, Metals, Indices, crypto." High Stakes' official asset list is verbatim "Assets available: FX, Metals, Indices Oil and Crypto." Pro Growth lists crypto with leverage 1:0.60. Bootcamp's official page lists FX, Metals, and Indices. It does NOT list crypto, and the page does not redirect crypto-curious traders to a separate spec sheet for that program. Futures has zero crypto-futures contracts on Black Arrow. The firm's futures lineup focuses on equity indices, energy, metals, bonds, and FX. If you need to trade crypto at The 5%ers, your programs are Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, or High Stakes.
High Stakes is the only program that explicitly lists Oil as a tradeable asset. The other CFD programs list "Metals, Indices, Forex (and Crypto where available)" without naming Oil specifically. Bootcamp's asset list explicitly excludes both Oil and Crypto. Energy traders should default to High Stakes among the CFD programs, or to Black Arrow Futures if they prefer the futures contract structure for CL and NG.
Stocks are not available at The 5%ers core. The 5% Group operates a separate sister entity, TradeThePool, that handles stock funding programs. TradeThePool is a different brand with different rules, separate accounts, and a separate platform stack. It is not part of The 5%ers' funding programs and is not accessed via The 5%ers' MT5 Hedge, cTrader, or Black Arrow platforms.
The asset matrix above is the cluster differentiator. No competitor builds the matrix this way because no competitor has The 5%ers' specific combination of four CFD programs plus a separate Futures track on a proprietary platform. Apex, Topstep, and Tradeify are futures-only on Tradovate or its peers. FTMO and MyFundedFX are CFD-only on MT5 or cTrader. The 5%ers does both, with the constraint that the two halves of the firm. CFD on MT5/cTrader, Futures on Black Arrow. Are operationally separate accounts even when the same trader holds both.
MT5 Hedge. What it means for CFD traders
MT5 Hedge is MetaTrader 5 configured in hedging mode. The 5%ers uses this configuration as the default platform for all four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp) and has done so since the firm's launch in 2016.
The Hedge versus Netting distinction is the part most retail traders skip but matters operationally. In Netting mode (the default for many institutional MT5 setups), opening a sell position on EURUSD when you already have a buy position open auto-nets the two. Your existing position is reduced or closed before the new one is recorded. In Hedge mode, both positions remain open simultaneously and are tracked separately. This matters for any strategy that intentionally holds opposing positions on the same instrument: hedged event trades around high-impact news, mean-reversion grids, paired options-style synthetics, or simple "I want to leave my long open and add a short for a faster move" tactics. The 5%ers uses Hedge mode to remove that constraint for traders who need it.
The platform itself is the standard MetaTrader 5 client. Setup runs through the trader hub: select MT5 Hedge at program activation, receive server name and login credentials in the dashboard post-activation, install MT5 from MetaQuotes' downloads (Windows desktop, macOS desktop via the official MT5 client, iOS, Android), connect to The 5%ers' server using the provided credentials, and start trading on the assets allowed by your program.
Spreads and execution on MT5 Hedge are the standard prop firm setup. The 5%ers does not publish its specific spread sheet on the public CFD program pages, so verify on the trader hub or in MT5's Market Watch panel after activation if spreads matter to your strategy. Leverage varies by program, not by platform: Forex 1:30 on Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, and Bootcamp (1:100 on High Stakes), Indices and Metals 1:25 on Pro Growth (other programs vary), Commodities 1:1.5 on Pro Growth, and Crypto 1:0.60 on Pro Growth where available. The same MT5 Hedge client running the same EURUSD trade carries different leverage caps depending on which program you bought.
MT5 Hedge supports Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated trading at The 5%ers within the firm's algorithmic-trading rules: EAs are permitted, but tick scalping, HFT, arbitrage, and emulator-based EAs are explicitly banned across all programs. Stealth mode (hidden stop-losses) is banned in High Stakes and Pro Growth. Bootcamp requires visible stop-losses on every position with a 2% per-position risk cap and 5 violations equals account termination. The platform does not enforce these rules at the order level. The firm enforces them at the trade-review and payout-approval stages.
For most CFD traders coming to The 5%ers from FTMO, MyFundedFX, FundedNext, or another MT5-based prop firm, MT5 Hedge at The 5%ers will feel familiar. The two practical adjustments are the program-specific leverage caps and The 5%ers' tighter algorithmic rules around HFT and arbitrage.
cTrader. How US traders access The 5%ers since September 2025
cTrader was added to The 5%ers on September 1, 2025 and unlocked US trader access from September 18, 2025 forward. The platform is the strategic move that let the firm enter the US market without losing its existing MT5 user base.
The reason behind the move is regulatory. MetaQuotes, the company behind MT4 and MT5, terminated services to US-based and US-serving prop firms in late 2023 and 2024. A series of cease-and-desist actions that effectively blocked US residents from trading on MT5 at most international prop firms. Some firms responded by exiting the US market entirely. Others, including The 5%ers, responded by adding cTrader. Spotware, the company behind cTrader, has no equivalent block on US-based prop firms, so cTrader is the practical workaround for any firm that wants to keep serving US traders without losing its non-US MT5 base.
CEO Saul Lokier framed the announcement around advanced trader needs: cTrader as the "premier platform for advanced traders" with "Level 2 depth-of-market data and superior execution." The functional truth is more pragmatic: cTrader is the route US traders use to access The 5%ers, and it is also a legitimate alternative for any non-US trader who prefers cTrader's interface to MT5's. The September 2025 announcement framed cTrader as a "supplement, not replacement". MT5 Hedge stays for non-US traders who want it.
US traders activating a cTrader account at The 5%ers follow a similar flow to MT5 Hedge: select cTrader at program purchase, receive server name and login credentials in the trader hub, download cTrader from Spotware's site or via The 5%ers' linked install, log in with the provided credentials, and trade. cTrader is web-based with optional desktop and mobile clients across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Mac users get a fully-supported native experience without needing a workaround. As of May 2026, cTrader is available on the four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp); it is not available on the Futures programs because Futures runs only on Black Arrow.
The interface differences between cTrader and MT5 are the part most traders care about once they have a working account. cTrader's chart engine is generally considered more modern, with cleaner depth-of-market visualization and smoother order entry. MT5 has a deeper indicator and EA library because the MetaQuotes ecosystem is older. Neither platform is objectively better. The choice is a function of habit and strategy. Traders who already trade cTrader at another broker will prefer cTrader at The 5%ers; traders who have spent years on MT5 will find MT5 Hedge less disruptive.
For US traders specifically, cTrader is not a choice. It is the only option for The 5%ers' CFD programs. If you are a US resident and want CFD funding at The 5%ers, you will be on cTrader. If you want futures, you will be on Black Arrow. There is no MT5 path for US-based CFD traders at The 5%ers as of May 2026.

Black Arrow. The futures-only platform (Paul-tested)
Black Arrow is The 5%ers' proprietary futures trading platform, built specifically for the Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate programs. It launched in beta in February 2026 alongside the firm's first dedicated Futures product, and it is the only platform on which The 5%ers Futures runs as of May 2026.
I am running The 5%ers Futures track on Black Arrow personally. I got in during the beta rollout. Three months in, I have passed multiple Futures evaluations and pulled $9,000 in payouts on bi-weekly cadence with no friction in the process. The platform side has been clean on my end: order entry works, position management works, the EOD drawdown calculation matches what The 5%ers' rules document says it should, and bi-weekly withdrawals have hit on schedule. That is the headline. The multi-asset setup at The 5%ers. CFD programs on MT5/cTrader plus a separate Futures track on Black Arrow. Is what makes the firm different from futures-only shops like Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, or Tradeify, all of which run on Tradovate or its peers.
Structurally, Black Arrow is not Tradovate, not NinjaTrader 8, and not Rithmic. Traders coming from Apex, Topstep, or Tradeify expecting a Tradovate-style web interface or NinjaTrader 8's desktop power will find Black Arrow architecturally distinct. The 5%ers built it as a proprietary platform rather than licensing one of the existing futures platforms. A decision that gives the firm tighter control over how rules are enforced (the 30%-per-position consistency rule, the 2 mini / 20 micro contract limit, the 10-minute pre-close rule, the no-weekend-holding rule for futures positions) but adds the friction of a new interface for traders to learn.
The feature set is still evolving. As of May 2026, Black Arrow is in active beta. What is documented on The 5%ers' Futures page is enough to trade with, but the firm has stated additional platform options and feature additions are planned through the rest of the year. Charting tools, order-flow visualization depth, mobile and Mac compatibility, and API access are not all publicly documented on The 5%ers' material I have read. Verify any specific feature against the current Futures help center before relying on it for a strategy.
What is documented and works in beta: market and limit order entry, stop and limit-stop bracket orders, position management with the 30%-per-position consistency check applied at the rule layer, contract limits enforced at 2 minis and 20 micros per account, the EOD-trailing 3% drawdown calculation in both phases, and the 10-minute pre-close auto-flat enforcement. The 5%ers ships rule enforcement as a platform feature on Black Arrow rather than as a back-office review process. When you violate a contract limit, the platform refuses the trade, not the firm's risk team.
For futures traders coming to The 5%ers from Apex, Topstep, or Tradeify, the orientation effort is real. The trade flow is similar (select instrument, choose contract size, place order, manage stop) but the interface and the platform's specific quirks need a learning curve. Most of the early-adopter feedback I have seen. And my own experience. Is that the curve is two to three sessions before the platform feels routine.
The Futures program at The 5%ers requires Black Arrow because there is no alternative platform for Futures Basecamp or Futures Rebate. There is no plan announced for Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8, or Rithmic integration as of May 2026. If you need those platforms specifically, you will not find them at The 5%ers. Try Apex, Topstep, or Tradeify for Tradovate; Tradeify or Topstep for NinjaTrader.
The dedicated Black Arrow article in this cluster goes deeper on the platform's UX, setup, instrument list, and the $9K Paul-tested payout cadence.
Choosing your platform at The 5%ers
Platform selection at The 5%ers is mostly a function of which program you buy and where you live. The decision tree is short.
Are you a US resident? Then your CFD options are cTrader (the only US-eligible CFD platform), and your Futures option is Black Arrow. You cannot use MT5 Hedge at The 5%ers as a US resident. The 5%ers opened US access on September 18, 2025 specifically through cTrader, so if you are American and you want any CFD program. Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, or Bootcamp. You will be on cTrader. If you want Futures Basecamp or Futures Rebate, you will be on Black Arrow.
Are you outside the US, trading CFDs, with a strong existing MT5 workflow? Stay on MT5 Hedge. The 5%ers has used MT5 Hedge as the primary CFD platform since 2016 and it remains fully supported. Hedge mode allows simultaneous long and short positions, EAs are allowed within the firm's algorithmic-trading rules, and the platform-to-program leverage caps work as documented per program.
Are you outside the US, trading CFDs, prefer cTrader's interface, or already trade cTrader at another broker? Use cTrader. The 5%ers added it as a supplement specifically so non-US cTrader-fluent traders did not have to switch to MT5 to access the firm. Functionally, both platforms support the same asset classes on the same programs with the same rules.
Are you trading futures? You will be on Black Arrow regardless of geography. There is no Tradovate, NT8, or Rithmic path at The 5%ers Futures. Black Arrow is in beta as of May 2026. Expect interface refinements through the year, but the core futures programs (Basecamp and Rebate) are funded and paying out as of my own bi-weekly payout cadence over February through May 2026.
Are you trading multiple asset classes at The 5%ers? You will hold separate accounts on separate platforms. A trader with a Hyper Growth $10K CFD account on cTrader and a Futures Basecamp $50K account on Black Arrow runs both accounts independently. Different platforms, different rules, different drawdown calculations, different payout cycles. The accounts share the firm-wide $40,000 maximum trader capital cap on Hyper Growth or the relevant program-specific cap, but they are operationally separate. The single-platform multi-asset experience that some retail brokers offer (one account, all asset classes) does not exist at The 5%ers. By design.
The platform choice is not the most consequential decision for most traders at The 5%ers. The program choice is, because the program determines the rules, drawdown, profit target, and asset classes. The platform follows from the program.
> Open a 5%ers account: start at the5ers.com/?afmc=199w and use code 7QHKBHSAQV at checkout for the PTV reader discount. The link works for any program. Hyper Growth (cheapest entry, free with promo), High Stakes (best for sub-$25K accounts), Bootcamp (3-step, $72 total to funded), or Futures Basecamp (the $50K Paul-tested product on Black Arrow).
Platform constraints and rules across all three platforms
The rules at The 5%ers are program-level, not platform-level. But each platform enforces a slightly different subset directly in the trade flow.
Algorithmic trading rules on MT5 Hedge and cTrader. Expert Advisors are permitted on both CFD platforms. Banned across both: tick scalping, high-frequency trading, latency arbitrage, reverse arbitrage, hedge arbitrage, and emulator-based EAs. Copy trading and coordinated multi-account strategies are prohibited and grounds for account termination. The platforms themselves do not enforce these. The 5%ers reviews trade history at the back office and at payout approval.
Stop-loss rules differ by program. Bootcamp requires visible stop-losses on every position with a maximum 2% account risk per position. 5 violations triggers automatic account termination. Stealth-mode stops (hidden orders) are banned in High Stakes and Pro Growth. Hyper Growth does not require a stop-loss but the same 6% max drawdown applies. The platforms do not block trades that violate these rules at order entry. The firm catches them at trade review.
News trading windows. Holding through news is allowed across all CFD programs. Placing new orders within 2 minutes before or after high-impact news events is restricted in High Stakes and Pro Growth. Bracket strategies that fire identical opposing orders around news are banned across all programs. None of these rules are enforced at the platform level. They are reviewed at trade-history audit.
On Black Arrow, the futures rules are enforced in the platform. The 30%-per-position consistency rule, the 2 mini / 20 micro contract cap, the 10-minute-before-market-close auto-flat rule, and the no-weekend-holding rule on futures positions are all enforced by Black Arrow at order entry or position management. If you try to take a third mini contract on a $50K Futures Basecamp account, the platform refuses the order. If you try to hold an ES contract through Friday close into Monday open, the platform flattens the position before market close. This is a structural difference from MT5 Hedge and cTrader, where rule enforcement happens at the back-office trade-review layer rather than at the platform layer.
The practical upshot is that CFD traders at The 5%ers should not assume the platform will catch a rule violation. Assume it will not, and stay within the rules at the trader's own discipline layer. Futures traders on Black Arrow get more help from the platform itself but should not rely entirely on it either; the EOD drawdown calculation is firm-side, not platform-side, and the 30%-per-position rule is platform-enforced but verifiable in the trader hub.
Recent platform changes at The 5%ers (last 12 months)
The 5%ers has made three substantive platform changes in the 12 months leading up to May 2026, all of them additive rather than removals.
| Date | Change | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| September 1, 2025 | cTrader added across CFD programs | Supplement to MT5 Hedge; CEO framing: "premier platform for advanced traders" |
| September 18, 2025 | US trader expansion via cTrader | First time The 5%ers has been open to US residents; opens previously-closed market |
| February 2026 | Futures program (Basecamp + Rebate) launched on Black Arrow | First proprietary platform; first non-CFD product; in beta |
No platform has been removed. MT5 Hedge remains the primary CFD platform for non-US traders. cTrader is a supplement, not a replacement. Black Arrow is additive. A new platform for a new product, not a swap-in for any existing platform.
The trajectory implied by these three changes is clear. The 5%ers is expanding its platform stack to support a broader set of trader populations: non-US CFD traders on MT5, US CFD traders on cTrader, futures traders globally on Black Arrow. The next likely platform addition would be either an additional Futures platform option (Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8, or similar) to broaden Futures market reach, or expansion of cTrader to additional CFD programs and asset classes that may not currently support it. Neither is announced as of May 2026. Both are reasonable inferences from the firm's stated platform strategy.
For traders evaluating The 5%ers, the platform stability point matters. None of the three platforms has been deprecated, retired, or migrated in the last 12 months. The firm has added options, not subtracted them. That is a structural positive for any trader committing to a multi-month evaluation and funded run on a particular platform. The platform you choose at activation will still be available six months from now.
How The 5%ers' platform stack compares to peer firms
Most prop firm category leaders run a single-platform-class strategy: futures-only firms on Tradovate ecosystems, CFD-only firms on MT5/cTrader. The 5%ers is one of a small group of firms running both halves with a proprietary platform on top.
| Firm | CFD platforms | Futures platforms | US access |
|---|---|---|---|
| The 5%ers | MT5 Hedge, cTrader | Black Arrow (proprietary) | Yes (via cTrader / Black Arrow) |
| FTMO | MT4, MT5, cTrader, DXTrade | None | Limited |
| MyFundedFX | MT4, MT5, cTrader | None | Limited |
| FundedNext | MT4, MT5, cTrader | None | Limited |
| Apex Trader Funding | None | Tradovate, Rithmic, NT8 (varies) | Yes |
| Topstep | None | TopstepX, Tradovate, NT8 | Yes |
| Tradeify | None | Tradovate, NT8, Rithmic | Yes |
| Lucid Trading | None | Tradovate, TradingView, NT8, Sierra Chart, Rithmic, MotiveWave, Quantower, Bookmap, Tradesea | Yes |
The 5%ers' position in this matrix is structurally interesting. Among CFD-capable firms, The 5%ers is the only one with a meaningful proprietary futures platform (Black Arrow) for traders who want to add futures without leaving the firm. Among futures-capable firms, The 5%ers is the only one with mature CFD programs on MT5 Hedge and cTrader. The crossover trader. A CFD trader who occasionally trades futures, or a futures trader who occasionally takes CFD positions. Has fewer firms to choose from than the matrix suggests, and The 5%ers is one of them.
The trade-off is platform breadth on either side. The 5%ers' CFD stack (MT5 Hedge + cTrader) is competitive but narrower than FTMO's four-platform menu. The 5%ers' Futures stack (Black Arrow only) is narrower than Apex's three-platform menu or Tradeify's three-platform menu. Traders who want maximum platform optionality on one side of the asset spectrum should compare program by program. But traders who value cross-asset coverage at one firm have fewer alternatives than The 5%ers as of May 2026.
The bottom line
The 5%ers is the right firm for traders who value cross-asset coverage at a single funding shop and are willing to accept narrower platform menus on each side of the CFD/futures split. MT5 Hedge and cTrader cover the four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp) with strong rules, mature execution, and US access via cTrader since September 18, 2025. Black Arrow covers Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate as a proprietary platform in beta since February 2026. Limited platform optionality, but a clean Paul-tested payout flow on bi-weekly cadence with $9,000 paid over the last three months.
Traders who want maximum platform breadth on one side. Six platforms on the futures side at Lucid, four platforms on the CFD side at FTMO. Should look at those firms instead. Traders who specifically need Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8, or Rithmic for futures should look at Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, or Tradeify. Traders who need MT4 should verify The 5%ers' MT4 status directly with support. The firm's own pages do not currently list MT4 even though one third-party source does.
For everyone else. CFD traders on MT5 or cTrader who want a stable funding home, US-based traders looking for a CFD prop firm with a clean MetaQuotes-free path, and futures traders willing to learn a new platform in exchange for The 5%ers' multi-asset and proprietary-platform setup. The 5%ers' three-platform stack across six programs across five asset classes is the cluster differentiator that earns it a serious look in 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
What platforms does The 5%ers support?
As of May 2026, The 5%ers supports three platforms. MT5 Hedge is the primary platform for all four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp). cTrader was added September 1, 2025 as a supplement across the CFD programs and is the route US traders use to access the firm. Black Arrow is the proprietary platform for the Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate programs, in beta since February 2026.
Can US traders use The 5%ers?
Yes. The 5%ers opened US access on September 18, 2025 via cTrader. The original MT5 Hedge route remains unavailable to US traders because MetaQuotes (MT5's parent company) does not service US prop firms. US traders therefore use cTrader for CFD programs and Black Arrow for the Futures track. The 5%ers is one of the few legacy CFD prop firms with a clean US route as of 2026.
Which The 5%ers programs run on MT5?
MT5 Hedge powers all four CFD programs at The 5%ers: Hyper Growth (1-step), Pro Growth (1-step paid variant introduced in 2026), High Stakes (2-step), and Bootcamp (3-step). Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate do NOT run on MT5. They run only on Black Arrow. MT5 Hedge mode allows simultaneous long and short positions on the same instrument, which The 5%ers uses across all CFD programs.
Which The 5%ers programs run on cTrader?
cTrader is available as a supplement across the CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp) since September 1, 2025. The official announcement framed cTrader as "a supplement, not replacement" for MT5. cTrader is also the route US traders take to access The 5%ers since September 18, 2025. Futures programs do NOT run on cTrader. They run on Black Arrow.
What is Black Arrow at The 5%ers?
Black Arrow is The 5%ers' proprietary trading platform, built specifically for the Futures Basecamp and Futures Rebate programs. It launched in beta in February 2026 and is the only platform on which the firm's Futures track runs. It is NOT Tradovate, NOT NinjaTrader 8, and is not available outside The 5%ers' Futures program. Feature set is still evolving in beta. Expect interface refinements over the rest of 2026.
Does The 5%ers support MT4?
Not confirmed. One third-party source mentions MT4 availability at The 5%ers, but the firm's own program pages and help center do not list MT4 as of May 2026. Treat MT4 as a likely legacy reference and verify directly with The 5%ers support before assuming it is available. The actively documented platforms are MT5 Hedge, cTrader, and Black Arrow.
Does The 5%ers support Tradovate or NinjaTrader 8?
No. The 5%ers Futures program runs on Black Arrow only. Not Tradovate, not NinjaTrader 8, and not Rithmic. Traders coming from Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, or Tradeify expecting Tradovate or NT8 must orient to Black Arrow as the platform. Additional platforms have been mentioned as planned by the firm but have not been announced as of May 2026.
Can I trade crypto CFDs on every The 5%ers program?
No. Crypto CFDs are only available on three CFD programs: Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, and High Stakes. Bootcamp explicitly omits crypto from its asset list and limits traders to FX, Metals, and Indices. The Futures program has no crypto-futures contracts because The 5%ers' Black Arrow lineup focuses on equity index, energy, metals, bond, and FX futures.
Does Black Arrow run on Mac or mobile?
Mac and mobile support for Black Arrow is not publicly confirmed as of May 2026. The platform is in beta and the feature set is still being documented by The 5%ers. CFD traders using MT5 Hedge or cTrader have full Mac and mobile options through standard MT5 and cTrader clients. Futures traders should verify Black Arrow's platform availability against the firm's Futures help center before assuming Mac or mobile compatibility.
Can I switch platforms mid-account at The 5%ers?
The 5%ers does not publish a strict "platform locked at purchase" rule like several futures-only competitors do. CFD traders can typically choose MT5 Hedge or cTrader at activation and request switches via the trader hub. Futures traders are on Black Arrow because it is the only available Futures platform. There is no alternate to switch to. Verify with The 5%ers support before assuming a mid-account platform change is possible.
Why did The 5%ers add cTrader if MT5 already worked?
cTrader was added September 1, 2025 to enable US trader access. MetaQuotes, the company behind MT5, does not allow US-based prop firms to onboard US residents on its platform. cTrader has no equivalent restriction. CEO Saul Lokier framed cTrader as a "supplement, not replacement". MT5 Hedge stays for non-US traders, cTrader extends the firm's reach to US traders and to anyone preferring the cTrader interface.
Is Black Arrow like Tradovate?
Black Arrow is purpose-built for The 5%ers Futures program and is structurally different from Tradovate. Tradovate is a multi-firm platform used at Apex, Topstep, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader, and others. It routes through CME via standard market-data providers. Black Arrow is exclusive to The 5%ers and was launched in beta in February 2026. Function overlaps (futures order entry, charting, position management); brand and ecosystem do not.
What is MT5 Hedge mode and why does The 5%ers use it?
MT5 Hedge mode is the version of MetaTrader 5 that lets traders open simultaneous long and short positions on the same instrument. The alternative is Netting mode, where opposing trades cancel out. The 5%ers uses Hedge mode across all CFD programs so traders running mean-reversion, grid-style, or hedged event strategies can keep both legs of a position open without auto-netting. Most modern prop firms use Hedge mode by default.
What instruments does Black Arrow offer?
Third-party cross-references list equity index futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY plus their micros), energy futures (CL, NG), metals futures (GC, SI), and bond and FX futures on Black Arrow. The 5%ers' own Futures page does not publish a full instrument list as of May 2026. The platform is new and the documentation is still being filled in. Verify exact contracts on The 5%ers Futures help center before relying on third-party lists.
Can I trade indices on every The 5%ers platform?
Indices CFDs are available across MT5 Hedge and cTrader on all four CFD programs (Hyper Growth, Pro Growth, High Stakes, Bootcamp). On Black Arrow, indices are traded as futures contracts (ES, NQ, YM, RTY). A different product type and a different platform. The same trader can hold an index CFD position on MT5 and an ES futures contract on Black Arrow simultaneously across separate accounts.
Does The 5%ers Futures require a Windows PC?
Not confirmed publicly. Black Arrow's hardware requirements are not documented in the public materials The 5%ers has released as of May 2026. Standard prop firm futures platforms typically run on Windows desktop or via a web client; The 5%ers has not stated whether Black Arrow has a Mac-native version. Futures traders on Mac should email The 5%ers support before purchasing a Futures Basecamp or Rebate account.
Is cTrader available on Bootcamp?
Not explicitly confirmed. The September 2025 cTrader announcement said the platform was added "across the CFD programs" but did not name each program individually. Bootcamp is a CFD program, so cTrader is logically available on it, but The 5%ers has not published a per-program platform matrix on its public pages. Verify on The 5%ers help center or in the trader hub at activation.
What leverage does each platform offer at The 5%ers?
Leverage is set by program, not platform. On MT5 and cTrader: Hyper Growth runs 1:30 forex with the High Stakes track reaching up to 1:100 forex. Pro Growth runs 1:30 forex, 1:25 indices and metals, 1:1.5 commodities, 1:0.60 crypto. High Stakes uses 1:100. Bootcamp uses 1:30. Black Arrow Futures uses standard CME contract specifications (no synthetic leverage applied. The contract size IS the exposure).
Has The 5%ers removed any platforms recently?
No. In the 12 months leading up to May 2026, The 5%ers has only added platforms. CTrader on September 1, 2025 and Black Arrow in February 2026. No platform has been deprecated or removed. MT5 Hedge remains the primary CFD platform for non-US traders. cTrader is a supplement, not a replacement. Black Arrow is additive. A new platform for a new product, not a swap-in for any existing platform.
