What I like / could be better
What I like
- Five ways in: four evaluation models (1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro) plus Zero, which starts as a Master Account with no evaluation
- Reward splits reach 100 percent on the 2 Step Standard monthly cycle, and 95 percent on Zero and on the 2 Step Flex 95 option
- No time limit on any evaluation phase, the only clock is the 30-day inactivity rule
- 2 Step Flex sells the 95 percent split at the same price as the 85 percent split, with 3 profitable days per cycle as the trade-off
- Pay to Card is the one near-instant reward route, arriving within 30 minutes of approval in 14 listed countries, or up to 48 hours if your bank runs additional security checks
- Three platforms (MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader), and the door stays open in North America: Match-Trader for US traders, Match-Trader or cTrader for Canadians
- A free trial on 2 Step Standard and 2 Step Pro, 14 calendar days per phase, with no card and no ID needed
- 4.5/5 on Trustpilot across 64,000+ reviews, a base large enough for the score to be stable
- Code VIBES applies 20 percent off at checkout
What could be better
- The reward cycle, and with it your split, is set once before your first trade and locks permanently
- The Striking System gives up to four warnings on 2 Step Standard Master Accounts above $25,000 and on all 1 Step Flex Master Accounts: warnings never reset, the second halves your split and the fourth closes the account
- Weekend holds on Master Accounts are temporarily not allowed across all four evaluation models, and on Zero a weekend position ends the account outright
- Only the 2 Step Standard prices are published, every other model needs the purchase flow
- Daily loss and max loss are hard breaches on touch, even if the account recovers in the same session
- Rewards take 1 to 3 working days plus 1 to 2 working days to land, so this is not a same-day payout firm
- Every active account, evaluations included, counts against one $400K max allocation
- The rule set is model-specific to a degree that is hard to hold in your head: Risk Per Trade Idea bites only on 2 Step Flex and Zero, the Striking System only on 1 Step Flex and on 2 Step Standard above $25,000
What this review covers
FundingPips is a forex and CFD prop firm that has grown into one of the largest names in the 2026 prop landscape, with 64,000+ Trustpilot reviews at 4.5 out of 5. The firm runs four evaluation models, 1 Step Flex (one phase at 12%), 2 Step Standard (8% then 5%), 2 Step Flex (10% then 6%) and 2 Step Pro (6% in both phases), plus FundingPips Zero, which starts as a Master Account with no evaluation at all. The reward cycle you select at the start is what sets your split, and it cannot be changed afterwards.
What sets FundingPips apart is the width of that lineup. What works against it is how permanent the choices inside it are. The reward cycle locks before your first trade, the 2 Step Flex split locks at purchase, and on 2 Step Standard Master Accounts above $25,000 and on all 1 Step Flex Master Accounts the Striking System issues up to four warnings that never reset: the second halves your split, the fourth closes the account. Pricing is published for 2 Step Standard only, and the Trustpilot one-star cluster concentrates on account closures with unclear rule interpretations. The firm is legitimate and it pays, but the ruleset does not fit every trader.
I have run FundingPips evaluations on and off over the years, been funded repeatedly and taken multiple payouts, and two $50K one-step evaluations are open as of July 2026. This review covers the accounts, the rules, the rewards, the platforms, the trust signals and the competitor comparisons that matter. Every firm-side fact here was rechecked against the FundingPips help center on 30 July 2026.
What trading FundingPips has actually been like
FundingPips is my forex go-to and has been for years. Evaluations here are a recurring thing for me, funded on and off, with multiple payouts and no disputes along the way. Two $50K one-step evaluations are open right now, which is how I check the 2026 rule set instead of trusting an old memory of it.
What has worked for me: the 2 Step Standard structure. Its 5% daily loss limit is the widest in the lineup, and it fits short-term forex plus XAUUSD mean reversion in the New York session without forcing me to shrink stops to fit a rule. The bi-weekly cycle at 80% suits my cashflow better than chasing the On Demand option and its consistency gate.
What has challenged me: the consistency score on the On Demand cycle. One event-driven day on gold concentrated a large share of the profit into a single session, and the On Demand request was held until the ratio came back into range. Nothing disappeared, it simply had to wait for smaller days to pull the average down. That is when I stopped treating On Demand as the faster cycle and started treating it as a different rule set.
What I would tell a new trader: read the reward cycle screen twice. Setting the cycle is the last action before trading opens, it cannot be changed afterwards, and it decides your split for the life of the account. On 2 Step Standard that is the difference between 60% weekly and 100% monthly.
KYC took two passes. The first document upload was rejected for photo clarity, resubmitted the same day and approved. Not blocking, but expect to verify twice if your first ID photo is not crisp.
On processing times: FundingPips documents 1 to 3 working days for a request, plus 1 to 2 working days for the funds to reach a wallet or bank, with Pay to Card as the only near-instant route and only in the 14 listed countries. Trustpilot reviewers routinely describe faster turnarounds than that, which is worth knowing, but the documented rule is the number to plan around.
3 native trading platforms
MT5 (MetaTrader 5), the most popular choice. Supports the Swap-Free add-on for overnight forex and metals. EAs run here, but the permission is two-tier: a third-party EA only as a trade or risk manager, your own EA on full automation with proof of ownership, and a compiled binary on its own is not proof. Large indicator ecosystem.
MatchTrader, newer platform option, web-based and desktop. Cleaner UI than MT5 but smaller indicator library.
cTrader, best for manual order execution and advanced charting. Level 2 data and depth-of-market visibility built in.
The platform is chosen at checkout, and the help center documents no switch afterwards. All three platforms provide equivalent execution quality and data feeds, the choice is ergonomics and existing workflow.
For step-by-step setup instructions on MetaTrader 5 see the MT5 setup guide.
Strategy framework for FundingPips
Three instrument groups carry most FundingPips trading, and each one meets a different limit first:
Forex majors (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY). Deepest liquidity and the cheapest cost line at $5 per lot, or $7 on Zero. Standard leverage is 1:100, and 1:50 on Zero. Normal intraday range sits comfortably inside a 3% to 5% daily loss limit at sane position sizes.
XAUUSD (gold). The highest reward per trade in the lineup and the fastest way to trip a rule. A single outsized gold day is exactly what the 35% consistency score on the 2 Step Standard On Demand cycle catches, and what the Profit Concentration Policy catches in an evaluation phase from $25,000.
Indices (NAS100, US30, DE40). Bigger moves, bigger stops, and the temporary dynamic-leverage tiers apply here on Master Accounts, so margin per lot rises as size grows: 1:50 up to 0.05 lots and down to 1:5 above 0.50 lots.
Common pitfalls:
- Sizing a 1 Step Flex account for the 12% max loss and forgetting the 3% daily loss limit, which is what actually ends the day
- Letting one trade idea run deep into floating loss on a 1 Step Flex or a 2 Step Standard Master Account above $25,000, where 1% or 1.2% floating triggers a Striking System warning that never resets
- Concentrating more than 60% of a phase target in one trade idea, which permanently attaches a 4-profitable-day requirement to every later reward request
- Holding into the weekend on a Master Account, where the auto-close is currently in force across all four evaluation models, and on Zero is an immediate termination
- Trading through red-folder news on a Master Account, where the full profit of the affected trade is deducted, not just the part earned in the window
- Picking the reward cycle in a hurry, since it locks permanently and decides whether the split is 60% or 100%
Trust signals
Trustpilot: 4.5/5 across 64,224 reviews. Read directly from the Trustpilot profile on 30 July 2026, where the profile is claimed since October 2022. At that volume the score is statistically stable. Distribution: 82% 5-star, 7% 4-star, 2% 3-star, under 1% 2-star, 8% 1-star.
Top positive themes, in order of frequency:
- Fast rewards, the single most frequently praised point across the reviews
- User-friendly platform interface
- Responsive, professional customer support
Top 1-star complaint themes:
- Account closures without a clear explanation
- Rule application confusion, especially daily loss calculations and profitable-day definitions
- Unclear policy communication
FundingPips replies to the overwhelming majority of negative reviews, usually within a day, and the replies cite the specific rule and offer an escalation contact. The pattern reads as responsive rather than evasive.
What the firm itself documents: reward requests are processed within 1 to 3 working days excluding weekends, with a further 1 to 2 working days before funds appear in a wallet or bank. The one exception is Pay to Card, which arrives instantly or within 30 minutes of approval in 14 listed countries, and up to 48 hours if a bank runs extra checks. Reviews that describe faster payouts are worth reading, but the firm commitment is 1 to 3 working days.
Operational longevity: FundingPips names 2022 as its founding year, which the help center does not document. The Trustpilot profile has been claimed since October 2022 and now carries 64,000+ reviews, a base that takes years to build. Not as long-running as FTMO, well past the start-up window.
Reward infrastructure: card, crypto in USDT or USDC on ERC20 only, Rise, and bank transfer, with a $500 minimum on Rise and bank transfer. Bank transfer is not available in every country or region. Crypto rewards carry service fees, exchange-rate conversion and network fees, all deducted during processing, so the amount received is smaller than the amount requested.
Key competitor comparisons
vs FTMO, FTMO has the longer operational history, since 2015, and a single conservative evaluation structure. FundingPips runs five account models against it and publishes prices for one of them. FTMO for track record, FundingPips for choice of structure and reward cycle.
vs FundedNext, a direct competitor with a comparable model lineup. FundingPips leads on Trustpilot volume with 64,000+ reviews, and its Prime Account scales to $2M. FundedNext counters with its own model variety and frequent promotions.
vs Alpha Capital, Alpha Capital is instant-funding first with strict rules. FundingPips Zero is the closest match in the lineup, and it comes with the tightest rule envelope FundingPips runs: a 5% trailing floor, a 1% max open risk limit and hard breaches on news and weekend holds.
vs E8 Markets, E8 runs tighter drawdown rules and smaller ceilings. FundingPips buys up to $200K and scales past it only through the Prime Account, which tops out at $2M.
vs Top One Futures, a different instrument class entirely. FundingPips is forex and CFD, Top One Futures is futures. Traders who want both run one account at each.
vs Lucid Trading, Lucid is futures-first, FundingPips is forex and CFD first. Different audiences, and the drawdown mechanics have nothing in common. See the FundingPips vs Lucid Trading comparison.
Internal: Zero vs 2 Step Standard, the two flagship routes. Zero starts funded at a 95% split with four eligibility conditions on every request. 2 Step Standard makes you pass two phases first and then hands you the widest choice of reward cycle, from 60% weekly to 100% monthly.
Frequently asked questions
Is FundingPips legit?
Yes. FundingPips is a legitimate forex and CFD prop firm with a 4.5 out of 5 Trustpilot rating across 64,000+ reviews and a profile claimed since October 2022. I have run evaluations here on and off over the years, been funded repeatedly and taken multiple payouts, with no disputes and no held rewards beyond one consistency check on the On Demand cycle that resolved normally.
How long does FundingPips take to pay out?
Reward requests are processed within 1 to 3 working days excluding weekends, and you should allow a further 1 to 2 working days for funds to reach your wallet or bank. The firm example: a Friday request begins Monday and completes by Wednesday. Pay to Card is the one near-instant route, arriving instantly or within 30 minutes of approval in 14 listed countries, and up to 48 hours if your bank runs extra security checks. Once submitted, a reward request cannot be cancelled or modified.
Which FundingPips model should I choose?
2 Step Standard if you want the widest daily loss limit and a choice of reward cycle. 2 Step Pro if you want the shortest evaluation, 6% in both phases with one minimum trading day, and can live with a 6% floor. 2 Step Flex if you would rather take the 95% split at the same price and accept 3 profitable days per cycle. 1 Step Flex if you want a single 12% phase at a flat 85%. FundingPips Zero if you want to skip the evaluation entirely and can meet four reward conditions at once.
Can I trade news on FundingPips?
In the evaluation phases of all four evaluation models there is no restriction on holding through news, although purposely trading news is prohibited and leads to account closure. On a Master Account, profits from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a red-folder Forex Factory event on the affected currency are not counted, and the full profit of that trade is deducted, not only the part earned inside the window. A trade opened 5 hours or more before the event keeps its profit. On FundingPips Zero, news trading is a hard breach and the window runs 10 minutes on each side.
What platforms does FundingPips support?
MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader. The swap-free add-on is MT5 only and covers forex and metals only. MT5 is not available in the United States or Canada and cTrader is not available to US residents and citizens, so US traders are on Match-Trader only while Canadian traders can use Match-Trader or cTrader. There is no MT4, no TradeLocker and no DXtrade.
What is the FundingPips profit split?
It comes from the model and the reward cycle, and it is one locked choice rather than a ladder you climb. 1 Step Flex pays 85% bi-weekly. On 2 Step Standard, the menu pays 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 100% monthly, or 90% on demand; On Demand requires a 35% consistency score and at least 2% profit. For 2 Step Standard Master Accounts purchased on or after 15 August 2026, Monthly also requires a 35% consistency score or lower, seven profitable days of at least 0.5% of the starting Master Account size, and a 1% Striking System trigger. For 2 Step Standard Master Accounts purchased on or after 15 August 2026, Monthly also requires a 35% consistency score or lower, seven profitable days of at least 0.5% of the starting Master Account size, and a 1% Striking System trigger. 2 Step Flex pays 85% or 95%, chosen at purchase for the same price. 2 Step Pro pays 80% weekly. FundingPips Zero pays 95% bi-weekly. The Prime Account pays 80% daily. You set the cycle from the dashboard before your first trade, and that setting locks permanently.
What is the FundingPips Prime Account?
The Prime Account replaced the older scaling tiers and is the only route past the $200K purchase ceiling. It comes by FundingPips invite or unlocks after the 3rd reward, when the profit after that reward reaches at least 2% of the Master Account size and up to 10% of it can be moved across. The unlock amount times 12.5 sets the Prime Account Size, the help center example being $8K x 12.5 for a $100K Prime Account. The Master Account closes when the Prime Account opens. Prime pays an 80% split daily with a 1% minimum request, runs an 8% max loss trailing the highest end-of-day balance, and a 2% soft daily limit that pauses trading for the day instead of closing the account. Scaling adds 10% per level toward a $2M maximum.
What is the FundingPips Striking System?
A four-step warning system on 2 Step Standard Master Accounts above $25,000 and on all 1 Step Flex Master Accounts. A warning is recorded when the floating loss on a single trade idea crosses 1% on 1 Step Flex or 1.2% on 2 Step Standard. The first warning is a warning, the second halves the reward split, so 85% becomes 42.5% on 1 Step Flex, the third drops it to 20%, and the fourth is an account breach and immediate closure. Warnings are cumulative for the life of the account and do not reset after a reward, a new cycle or a scale-up. Profit from a warned trade idea is deducted, and trades are never force-closed.
Is FundingPips better than FTMO?
For some profiles. FundingPips runs five account models, reaches a 100% split on the 2 Step Standard monthly cycle, and scales to $2M through the Prime Account. FTMO has been operating since 2015 with the longer public track record and a tighter, more uniform rule set. Choose FundingPips for structural choice, FTMO for the longest history.
How long has FundingPips been around?
The company names 2022 as its founding year. The help center documents no founding year, headquarters or regulatory status, so treat those as company-supplied background rather than verified facts. What is checkable: the Trustpilot profile has been claimed since October 2022 and now carries 64,000+ reviews, a base that takes years of volume to build.
Can I have multiple FundingPips accounts?
Yes, inside one limit. All active accounts, evaluation accounts included, share a single $400K max allocation across all models, with monthly competition accounts excluded from the count. Master Accounts can be merged, but only with accounts of the same model, never on FundingPips Zero, and a merge cannot be reversed. After a merge the platform and reward cycle come from the first purchased account.
