Lucid Trading has announced a trading competition with over $2 million in cash prizes, running from September 9 to September 30, 2026. Its latest email says active evaluation, funded, live and “Maxxer” account holders qualify, with 50 traders set to receive $2,000 each day and larger awards listed for the top three.
The account eligibility is the detail that caught my attention: you don't have to reach the funded stage to qualify. An active evaluation account is included. The part still missing from the announcement is a clear explanation of how the leaderboard is scored.

What are the Lucid Trading competition prizes?
Lucid's email announces the following awards:
| Award described in the announcement | Amount |
|---|---|
| 50 daily winners | $2,000 each |
| First place | $10,000 |
| Second place | $6,000 |
| Third place | $4,000 |
The accompanying campaign graphic advertises more than $2 million in total cash prizes. These are announced competition awards, not proof that prizes have already been paid.
There is one detail I would confirm with Lucid: the email does not explain whether the top-three amounts replace the $2,000 award or are added to it. I wouldn't calculate a daily prize total from that wording yet.

When does the competition run?
The announced dates are September 9–30, 2026. Lucid confirmed those dates in its official September 4 announcement.
That post did not specify an exact clock time or timezone. Check Lucid's event instructions for the opening session and daily cutoff rather than treating midnight in your own timezone as the boundary.
Who qualifies, and how do you participate?
The email requires an active Lucid Trading account and explicitly includes evaluation, funded, live and “Maxxer” accounts. It then tells traders to trade, follow the leaderboard and join the daily Discord town halls where winners will be revealed.
In this context, “Maxxer” appears to refer to a trader with LucidMaxx status. Lucid’s official overview describes an invitation-only route: selected traders earn access to buy a LucidMaxx evaluation, then move directly to live trading after passing. “Maxxer” is the email’s informal label, not a separately documented public account plan.
For an existing account holder, the practical sequence is:
- Confirm that your account is active and check the current event instructions.
- Trade within the rules for that specific account.
- Follow Lucid's leaderboard and the winner announcements in its official Discord.
The supplied email does not describe a separate registration form or entry fee. That isn't enough to promise free entry to someone without an account, or to assume there are no further eligibility conditions. Existing account charges and event eligibility are separate questions.
For the differences between account types, use my Lucid Trading review and account comparison. The competition announcement does not replace the current rules for your evaluation or funded account.
How is the leaderboard scored?
The materials reviewed for this article do not provide a scoring formula. Lucid has named the promotion its “based on nothing in particular” event, and the original announcement left the winning method open.
That wording does not establish that the highest profit wins, that results are random, or that placing more trades improves your chances. Those would all be assumptions.
Until Lucid explains the scoring, I'd keep my normal trading plan. A leaderboard I can't explain is no reason to increase position size or chase another trade.
My take: a huge promotion, especially for existing traders
This is a seriously big move from Lucid. The part I like most is that the announced eligibility includes traders still in an evaluation. You don't need to have completed the funded-account journey to be included.
For someone who already has an active account, the useful next step is to follow the event updates and understand the rules. If you're considering a new account, choose it for the trading conditions first. The competition is an extra reason to pay attention, but winning a prize is uncertain.
My Lucid code is VIBES. For an eligible account purchase, use it through my Lucid Trading affiliate link and check the discount shown before paying. VIBES is my account offer code; Lucid's competition email does not list a promo code as an entry requirement.
LucidMaxx evaluations are excluded from discounts. Lucid’s Maxx pricing rules state that their listed prices cannot be reduced through promotions, so the VIBES offer does not apply to those evaluations.
Follow the official Discord for the daily town halls and any clarification of scoring, prize allocation and eligibility.
