Tradeify consistency is your largest profitable day divided by total net profit in the relevant evaluation or payout period. The result must be at or below the account limit: 40% on standard Select evaluation, 35% on Growth funded, and 20% → 25% → 30% on current Lightning payouts. Growth evaluation and Select funded accounts do not use a consistency rule.
Checked November 4, 2026. This page covers Tradeify Futures. I actively trade 50K Growth and 50K Lightning accounts, so the practical examples stay within products I use. Current percentages and reset behavior come from Tradeify's consistency policy.
Consistency is a payout or evaluation eligibility test, not a loss limit. An oversized winning day does not fail the account. It raises the amount of total profit needed before you can pass the Select evaluation or request a Growth or Lightning payout.
Tradeify consistency calculator
Current score: 40.00%
Minimum total profit: $2,857.15
Additional net profit needed: $357.15
Not yet within the 35% limit.
The calculator assumes the numbers belong to the same active consistency period. It does not test the profit goal, minimum balance, winning-day count, drawdown, conduct rules or account-specific dashboard adjustments. A zero or negative total profit cannot produce payout eligibility.
Which Tradeify accounts use consistency?
| Product and phase | Consistency limit | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Growth Evaluation | None | No consistency test to pass the evaluation |
| Growth Sim Funded | 35% | Every payout period |
| Select Evaluation | 40% standard | Evaluation only; optional 50% add-on if purchased |
| Select Flex / Daily funded | None | No funded consistency test |
| Lightning, payout 1 | 20% | Current accounts purchased after Sep. 12, 2025 8:00 AM ET |
| Lightning, payout 2 | 25% | Same current cohort |
| Lightning, payout 3+ | 30% | Same current cohort |
| Legacy Lightning | 20% | Accounts purchased before the cohort cutoff retain 20% |
The phase matters as much as the product. “Growth has no consistency” is true only during its evaluation. “Select has consistency” is true during the evaluation, not after a trader chooses Select Flex or Select Daily. A current Lightning account changes percentage by payout number.
The formula
Use two calculations:
Current consistency score = largest profitable day ÷ total net profit × 100
Minimum total profit required = largest profitable day ÷ rule percentage as a decimal
If the best day is $1,000 under a 35% rule, the required total is $1,000 ÷ 0.35 = $2,857.142857. Because account balances use cents, round the requirement up to $2,857.15 rather than down. Exactly 35.00% qualifies; 35.01% does not.
Tradeify says commissions are not included in the profit figure used for consistency. Use the values shown in the Tradeify dashboard rather than rebuilding the metric from a platform statement that may treat costs differently.
20% Lightning example
You make $1,000 on your best day and have $4,200 total cycle profit.
- Score: $1,000 ÷ $4,200 = 23.81%.
- Required total at 20%: $1,000 ÷ 0.20 = $5,000.
- Additional net profit needed: $800.
You do not need to give back the winning day or reset the account. You need at least $800 more net profit without creating a new best day above $1,000. If the next day earns $1,100, that becomes the new numerator and the requirement rises to $5,500.
For a current Lightning account, the percentage becomes 25% on payout two and 30% from payout three. The same $1,000 best day would then require $4,000 and $3,333.34 respectively. The separate fresh profit goal still applies, so qualifying means meeting whichever requirement is higher.
35% Growth example
A 50K Growth trader has five qualifying days and $3,000 total profit. The best day is $900.
- Score: $900 ÷ $3,000 = 30%.
- Consistency: within the 35% limit.
- Minimum balance: $53,000, also met if starting from $50,000.
This account can be consistency-eligible, but the payout request still depends on every other Growth condition. If the same trader has only four days above $150, consistency alone does not unlock the request.
Now add a $600 losing day. Total net profit drops to $2,400 while the $900 best day remains. The score becomes 37.5%, so the account leaves the consistency limit. Losing days can therefore remove eligibility without changing the original best day.
40% Select evaluation example
The standard Select evaluation uses 40% consistency. If the profit target is $3,000 and the best day is $1,500, the score is 50%. The trader needs $3,750 total profit for that $1,500 day to equal 40%.
This explains why standard Select requires at least three contributing profitable days. The optional 50% consistency add-on can permit a two-day pass, but it changes the purchase price and only applies when it was selected at purchase. After passing, Select Flex and Select Daily do not use a funded consistency percentage.
What resets after a payout?
Tradeify recalculates consistency for the new payout period after an approved payout. The largest day and total profit from the completed period do not continue as the next cycle's numerator and denominator.
Lightning also resets its fresh profit goal. Profit left in the account can provide drawdown buffer, but it does not become new cycle profit. Growth resets the five qualifying-day count. These separate resets are why a dashboard balance alone cannot tell you whether a new request is eligible.
Does a losing day count?
Yes. Losing days reduce total net profit, making the ratio worse. They do not reduce the historical largest profitable day.
Suppose the best day is $700 and total profit is $3,500: exactly 20%. A $200 losing day reduces total profit to $3,300, increasing consistency to 21.21%. The account is no longer within a 20% limit. To return, total profit must again reach at least $3,500 without setting a larger best day.
What if the dashboard shows 100%?
If all current profit came from one day, that day represents 100% of total profit. Tradeify now updates consistency in real time, so a new account can show 100% immediately after its first winning session. The score falls as additional net profit is added on other days.
Trailing drawdown is the dashboard exception: Tradeify says that metric updates at end of day even though balance, profit, Daily Loss Limit and consistency update in real time.
How to lower the score without gaming the rule
Set a practical daily profit ceiling before the session. The ceiling should be based on the current cycle goal and rule, not on the maximum contract allowance. If the planned first-cycle profit is $3,000 under a 20% rule, an even five-day distribution would be $600 per day.
After an unusually strong day, reduce size. The job is to increase total profit without replacing the numerator. Do not trade only to repair a percentage if the setup quality is poor; a loss increases the percentage and consumes drawdown room.
This is risk control. It cannot guarantee a payout. The account still has profit goals, day counts, balance gates and prohibited-strategy rules. Use the calculator as a readiness check, then confirm the dashboard before submitting.
Common mistakes
- Using gross winning-day profit instead of total net profit. Losing days stay in the denominator.
- Applying one percentage to every Tradeify account. Growth, Select and Lightning differ by phase and cohort.
- Treating an exact limit as a failure. Tradeify states that exactly 20.00%, 35.00% or 40.00% qualifies; only a result above the limit misses.
- Ignoring payout-number progression on Lightning. Current Lightning moves from 20% to 25% to 30%.
- Assuming consistency is the payout amount. It is an eligibility ratio, not a withdrawal cap.
- Forgetting the reset boundary. Use only the current evaluation or payout period.
Bottom line
The Tradeify consistency rule asks one question: how much of the relevant period's net profit came from the single best day? Divide the best day by total net profit and compare the result with the exact account-phase limit.
Use 40% for standard Select evaluation, 35% for Growth funded, and 20%, 25% or 30% for current Lightning depending on payout number. Then check the other gate owned by the relevant product page: the Growth account guide, Lightning Funded guide or Tradeify payout rules.
